so very thankful

so very thankful to have these three in my life. we have had a perfect weekend celebrating thanksgiving and just spending time together as a family.

happy halloween!!

i can't believe i'm so late in posting these, but it is what it is.  we celebrated earlier in the day with a halloween parade at the boys school.

later on in the day we joined friends for a potluck dinner and then group trick-or-treat.

and then we ended the evening at grandmother and grandfather's house.  our sweet little black cat would not stay still for one minute...she loved sharing all of the boys candy with others :)

a fall tradition: pumpkins and hay!

this is one of our yearly traditions.  the boys love the pumpkin patch and this year baby sister got to join in on the fun.  she loved being able to run free :)

we did another one of our favorite fall traditions, the hay maze.  we've done this every year since ethan was about 10 months old.  the boys are just getting to the perfect age to enjoy it all.  there is a hay fort, hay maze, slides and rubber chicken throwing.  then you end the night with hot dogs and s'mores made over a campfire.

  

miss mollie

she is such a character these days.

wants to be the center of attention.

wants to make everyone smile and laugh.

we can't get enough of her and her ear to ear smile!

the circus came to town!

and i don't just mean our house, which feels like a circus 6 out of 7 days of the week.

we saw the tent set up for one day only and it happened to be on my day off...and lance was able to stop by and come with us.  i am not sure that the kids really enjoyed it all that much.  mollie did enjoy the music.  i don't know if the boys really knew what to make of it.  but we got in a camel ride and some crackerjack, so it ended on a happy note.

i'm not sure how i actually feel about the circus, i wasn't that big into it growing up either.  i never liked clowns, still don't, and i don't love the idea of the animals being cooped up like that, especially after reading "water for elephants"  but it kind of feels like something you have to experience at least once.  i'm sure we will go again...but definitely wait until mollie is out of the climbing the bleachers and eating whatever she finds laying around stage :)

7:45PM * pretty princess goes to bed

8:15PM * night-night boys!

9:25PM * lunches packed & kitchen cleaned up!

9:30PM * last bit of work & computer time before bed...

miles + mollie

it melts my heart to see how these two interact.  and to think i was so worried about how miles would like his little sister when i was pregnant.  there is no doubt how much he loves her and how you can see she feels the same way.
